Music – The Universal Language

As a musician who has traveled from the bushy hills to the grandest cathedrals, I find orchestrated sound to be one of the most captivating medians. Music is said to “Sooth the Savage Breast.” This saying is fascinating. Even though music is not considered a language by some, music is a language because it can be used to communicate and it is understood world wide.

Can music be understood by the undeveloped mind? Is the language of music something that can create feelings? Does music play a role in all our lives universally? These are some of the questions that we are going to touch on in this venture of musical expansion.

Music is not just an art played or performed in jest but a language with which to communicate and to spread a message. Ani Patel (2007) Author of Language, music, syntax and the brain states a couple of facts: “First, it’s universal, like language; secondly, it occurs in every human culture that we know of and thirdly it goes far back into human history”. Music is a part of every human being. From birth melodies are being hummed or sung to us. According to the era or generation in which you were brought up, a love for collective sound is developed. Have you ever listened to a song being sung in a foreign language and find yourself tapping your feet to the beat? This is the power of music. Music is defined as: “the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.” (Merriam-Webster online Dictionary)

According to archaeological records, the oldest musical instruments are said to be around 40,000 years old, and it wouldn’t be surprising to discover older ones than that. Patel (2007). Some have said, and I agree, that the human body with it’s heart beat was the first musical instrument. Therefore, as long as man has been in existence there has been a musical instrument. Drums have been beaten and bells have been rung to warn and to gather people from some of the first civilizations. With this human connection, music can be understood and shared all across the world without saying a word.

Buy Music Videos Online – Download Music Videos Instantly

Do you want to buy music videos online? There are several ways you could go about getting music videos online. You can choose to get them for free or you can go the safe and legal route and choose to buy your downloads online. This article will show you why is it better to buy music videos online rather than download them for free.

When you start downloading free files and other things online you can run the risk of a few things. First of all, you might be downloading illegal files. Not only are these files illegal, but most of the time they are not a very high quality. I have heard some songs that people download for free online and then play through their mp3 player and it sounds terrible. I would much rather just pay the few dollars or whatever an buy a song of good quality.

The other thing that can happened when downloading from free sites is that you could download spyware or a virus onto your computer. This could end up being very costly seeing that you may have to clear out your hard drive or even possibly buy an entire new computer. I know my friend had so many downloads on his laptop that everytime he turned it on he would get 50 or more pop up ads from spyware.

While getting free stuff is great, it could end up costing you more in the end. And wouldn’t you rather have a clear and good sounding song rather than a scratched up track? Next time you decide to buy music videos online, trust your instinct and purchase the video rather than trying to get it free, it will save you a huge headache should you accidentally run into a virus.

The best idea is to buy and download music online as opposed to trying to get it for free somewhere online. You could end up spending a lot more if you accidentally download a virus or spyware to your computer.

UGK Mixtapes, Albums, And Hip-Hop Career

The name UGK is short for Underground Kingz and is a rap group comprised of Chad “Pimp C” Butler and Bernard “Bun B” Freeman. The duo has been very successful, releasing a number of hip hop albums to reach the charts. As with many artists in this field, UGK mixtapes were very valuable to the group in achieving the level of their career.

UGK mixtapes aside, twosome is well-known for their albums Ridin’ Dirty, which peaked at #2 on the US R&B charts, Dirty Money, which also peaked at #2 on the same chart, Underground Kings which took the top spot, and UGK 4 Life, which reached #2. They are recognizable by their famous singles “Front, Back, Side to Side,” “Pimpin’ Ain’t No Illusion,” and “International Players Anthem (I Choose You).” Their success is undeniable; however, once Pimp C was sentenced to time in jail, Bun B did embark on a successful solo career.

By searching mixtapes torrents, one would be able to download several UGK mixtapes for free. Some of these include Still UGK 4 Life and The Chronicles of UGK, but the list goes on rather extensively. From the number of rap mixtapes released with consideration to the number of albums, it is clear to see that this band found the utilization of tapes to be quite successful.

Rap mixtapes have been a necessity to artists in this community for quite some time. They came about in the 1970′s as the only means of circulating their tracks. Despite the advance of technology, these tapes are still essential today.

By comparing the number of studio albums with the number of UGK mixtapes, as well as the releases of other hip hop artists, it is easy to see how important these tapes are. They are usually placed online for free download and released merely because artists want to keep their tracks in circulation. Whatever the reason, it does not seem that this craze will die down any time soon.
